Cheryl Minor

Cheryl Minor grew up in Fort Greene Brooklyn.  Her writings first appeared when she was in her teens in the book “The Voice of the Children” edited and compiled by Terri Bush and June Jordan.

Later in her working career her poetry and short stories appeared in the New York City District Council 37 Lesbian and Gay Issues Committee “The Council Star,”  Local 1549 “The Focus” and The Northeast Regional Summer Institute for Union Women newspapers.  

Ms. Minor is currently working on her book “Baby, You Have To Go Beyond The Block: Advice My Mother Gave To Me While Growing Up Brooklyn.” Her book is expected to be published in 2021.
